This herb is essential for my Organic Cold and Flu Comfort Tea
Yarrow is used against
colds, cramps, fevers, kidney disorders, toothaches, skin irritations, and hemorrhages,
and to regulate menses, stimulate the flow of bile, and purify the blood. Medicinal tea is
a good remedy for severe colds and flu, for stomach ulcers, amenorrhea, abdominal cramps,
abscesses, trauma and bleeding, and to reduce inflammation.
So funny, my daughter is reading a book series called "Warriors" (about cats), and one of the herbs these "tribes" of cats use is yarrow. We had a great discussion about the herb, and the author's use of "real" things in the book vs. imaginary. I'll have to show her your post tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteMy Yarrow is already flowering wildly and I harvested my first batch this week, too. I just love the pretty leaves on this plant and how prolific it is. I started with one plant and now have about 25. Great post!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I would love to have an herb garden!
